I have been blogging for years, but GayintheCLE is only about a year and a half old. It started out as a way for me to get the thoughts out of my head and to be able to deal with them. Later, I grew my blog into a forum for sexual education. At the time it seemed important to me, after all we dont really get an education into sex and sexuality like out straight counterparts do. I do miss that blog and often I think about incorporating it into this blog, mainly because I still feel it is really important. Even more so for our younger community.

From there I have been looking for ways to grow my blog and myself (brand). About two months ago, I started considering becoming a YouTuber. I have to say, that desire was fueled more by my boyfriend, Karl. He is absolutely obsessed with YouTube and spends hours watching animal videos, comedy bits, and lifestyle channels. These were all things I wanted and do incorporate into GayintheCLE.

It was also around the time I was looking into upgrading/adding an additional camera to my arsenal. I now could combine the two and get a new camera for taking pictures of Cleveland and my other interests and also use it to start Vlogging. So flash forward to ten days ago when I started my channel. I already knew that blogging was hard enough and wasnt sure what I was thinking when I decided to start doing videos.

My channel is an extension of GayintheCLE, but will showcase things that work better in a video type setting all while still focusing on lifestyle and the LGBTQ community. There are a lot of channels I am working on drawing ideas from and want to make sure I am still keeping to my main mission. I believe the education of the LGBTQ community needs to fall on our shoulders. We need to be creating our content, writing the stories we want to ready, and producing the things we want to see and watch. This, hopefully is my contribution.
