  1. You have great points. Having been a people pleaser most of my life worked to my detriment. Learning to set boundaries helped protect my peace but it was lots of self reflection and psychological work to break free. I found people would take advantage of my people pleasing to my detriment. That is when I learned I was being emotionally blackmaild. That came at the price of a few long term relationships. It seems people cannot accept healthy boundaries.

I wasnt a people pleaser as much as I was afraid to go against the grain out of fear of rejection, Healthy boundaries are a necessity but it seems that they are something that we aren’t taught, especially in America. We have to set and patrol out boundaries, so that others will start to accept them. It is a hard battle and yes, there will be loses. But our mental health and wellbeing is what is most important.
